Over 250 people have already registered for the second quarter “Leadership, Learning Cultures and Lean Transformation” event on June 16, 2011, in which the Tri-State Manufacturers’ Alliance (TSMA) will be hosting Colleen Abdoulah and George Koenigsaecker, two superstar CEOs who have spent their careers transforming organizations.
Abdoulah, the CEO of WOW! Internet Phone and Cable, is highly respected for her passionate focus on customer experience and company culture. Colleen will share her stories, unique leadership style and management approach for treating people with respect and creating a company culture focused on excellence and encouraging individual ownership and problem solving. Colleen has driven WOW!’s organization to nine years of industry-leading financial success while earning an unprecedented twelve J.D. Power and Associates awards.
Koenigsaecker, a leading Lean expert in the world and a member of Industry Week’s Manufacturing Hall of Fame, began his career working with Deere & Co. visiting more than 125 manufacturing facilities in Japan and experiencing the teaching of Toyota senseis at Yanmar Diesel. Following his time at Deere & Co., he served as president of Jacobs Vehicle Equipment Co. and group president of the Tool group, which was the largest business unit of Danaher, where he developed and implemented the Danaher Business System. In his last formal corporate leadership effort, he led the lean journey at HON from 1992 until 1999. Volume tripled.
Of the 12 companies that George Koenigsaecker has placed on lean journeys, all are still traveling that path today. TSMA members will experience a real world, hands on presentation by someone with three decades of experience in leading several lean transformations. From visionary to strategic to practical, all will walk away with a great “how to” guide for leaders on lean enterprise improvement, measurement, the value stream analysis process, how Kaizen events make it all happen, building a lean culture and more.
This dynamic half-day program will be held in the University of Southern Indiana’s Mitchell Auditorium. Anyone and everyone is welcome to attend: simply contact Julie Ko at jko@ccswin.com to register.
TSMA couldn’t make it happen without our event sponsors: BKD, Anchor Industries and the University of Southern Indiana. Many thanks!
